— Why Choose Practical CONcepts limited
Preparation
Project teams are selected at a very early stage in the contract negotiations in order that they may familiarize themselves with the complexity of the project in hand, thus becoming involved with the initial planning, programming, preparation of Health and Safety plan, Method Statements, setting up of quality control systems and generally preparing for the contract to ensure an organised and effective start.
Training
The introduction of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 1994, has reemphasised the requirement to employ safe methods of working and to minimize risks arising on construction projects. PCL has always adopted a ‘Safety First’ approach and has now got the satisfaction of knowing they are backed up by appropriate legislation.
PCL’s years of experience have provided a wealth of information which is invaluable in determining the safest, fastest and most economical solution to the many problems arising from today’s ambitious redevelopment projects.
Customer Care
PCL, whilst dedicated to ensuring a quality service for our customers, also believes in the importance of exemplary customer relations.
Our management and administrative teams understand that personal contact and open lines of communication are essential in building business relationships, and we believe that this is one of the strongest areas of our company.
Communication
An excellent communications system between the Project Management Team on site and the backup from the Service Department of Head Office is in place which ensures that the requisite resources are made available when required.
Health & Safety
Our fundamental priority is the safety of all employees and others who may be affected by the Group’s activities. especially the general public.
The Company is served by our Safety Manager. We also employ an external training and environmental consultant to examine and assess the training needs for the company and to carry out the necessary training.
The Company’s Health and Safety policy and supporting documentation (a copy of which is available on request) is reviewed periodically and revised as new legislation dictates.
Quality Control
PCL has long understood the need for a high level of quality control covering all aspects of the group’s activities. The appointment of a Quality Control Manager and successful accreditation to ISO 9001 help to prove the level of commitment demonstrated by the company.
Both on site and within the office environment, a comprehensive quality plan is adhered to, ensuring all staff know what part they play in maintaining and imposing best working practices.
Regular Audits are carried out both internally and by external bodies to ensure standards are maintained.
Management
PCL is aware of the vital importance of starting off with the right management team for a particular project and therefore, each individual's previous experience and suitability is considered prior to their selection.
